Cloud data migration
Your legacy warehouse is the reason your AI roadmap is late.
We move it to a lakehouse in waves, prove every table matches in a parallel run, and retire the old licence on a date you can put in the budget.
The problem
What we usually find
Licence and hardware renewals force the timeline
Teradata and Netezza renewals arrive before the migration plan does, so teams sign another multi-year term to buy time.
Thousands of stored procedures nobody fully understands
Business logic lives in SQL written over 15 years. Manual rewrites stall, and every missed edge case surfaces as a wrong number in a board report.
Big-bang cutovers fail in production
Moving everything at once leaves no way to compare old and new outputs, so trust in the new platform is lost in the first month.
Our approach
Four steps, each with a deliverable
- 01
Inventory and wave plan
We scan the estate — tables, jobs, procedures, consumers — and group objects into waves by dependency and business value.
- 02
Automated conversion
SQL, stored procedures and ETL jobs are converted with tooling, then reviewed by senior engineers. Unconvertible patterns are rewritten by hand and tested.
- 03
Parallel run and reconciliation
Each wave runs on both platforms. Row counts, checksums and key business metrics are compared automatically until they match.
- 04
Cutover and decommission
Consumers switch wave by wave. When the last wave is signed off, the legacy system is shut down on the planned date.

Deliverables
What you receive
- Object inventory and dependency map of the legacy estate
- Wave plan with dates, owners and decommission milestones
- Converted, tested code in your repository with CI/CD
- Reconciliation reports for every migrated table
- Runbooks and a handover session for your platform team
Typical timeline
How the work runs
Assess2–3 weeks
Inventory, wave plan, target architecture and cost model.
Pilot wave4–6 weeks
One business domain migrated end to end, reconciled and in production.
Scale waves8–20 weeks
Remaining domains migrated in parallel streams.
Decommission2–4 weeks
Final consumers switched, legacy system archived and shut down.
Frequently asked questions
Which source platforms do you migrate from?
Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server, Exadata, Greenplum, Hadoop/Hive and on-premises SSIS or Informatica ETL. Targets are Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
How do you prove the migrated data is correct?
Every table in a wave is compared between old and new platforms on row counts, column-level checksums and agreed business metrics. Results are published as reconciliation reports before any consumer switches.
Do we have to freeze changes on the legacy system?
No. We capture changes during the parallel run and replay them, so business teams keep working. A short freeze applies only to the wave being cut over.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on the number of objects and consumers. A pilot wave typically reaches production in 4–6 weeks; the full program length comes out of the assessment with a fixed price per wave.
Who owns the converted code?
You do. All code, infrastructure definitions and documentation live in your repositories and cloud accounts from day one.
