Frequently asked questions
Why charge for an assessment?
Because the output is work you can use with or without us: a written architecture, a cost baseline and a priced roadmap. Free assessments tend to be sales pitches.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to your data platforms and cloud billing, plus copies of relevant architecture documents. We do not need access to production data contents.
Is the fee credited if we continue with you?
We agree this before kickoff and write it into the statement of work, so there are no surprises if you continue into implementation.
Will you just recommend more work for yourselves?
The roadmap is priced so you can compare it with other firms or your own team. Some recommendations will be to stop doing things, which earns nobody revenue.
Can you sign our NDA and security questionnaire first?
Yes. Our trust center lists our security practices, and we complete standard security questionnaires before kickoff.
What if we run more than one platform?
We cover them in one assessment. The fee range reflects how many platforms and business domains are in scope, agreed before we start.
Have 30 minutes? Get a senior architect’s view of your data platform.
No sales deck. You talk to the engineer who would lead the work.
